Mogan has developed his playing through numerous collaborations with artists from different musical horizons, according to his belief in the fact that music has no borders.

Sharing being at the heart of his ethos, pedagogy is an important part of Mogan’s activities. He’s been teaching at Jazz à Tours music school in Tours, France since 2010, and Pôle Supérieur de Musique de Poitiers, developing perpetually evolving systems offering infinite solutions thanks to several possible reading and playing directions in conjunction with his musical experiences, always with the thought of creating, building, developing, prompting, splitting up, turning over / inverting…
The experimental approach of the instrument as a « prepared » drum is revealed in his solo project « Bruyance » mixing acoustics snares, objects and electronics.

I make / compose / produce / perform music with two prepared snares, a stylophone, objects and Fx pedals.

My drawings are a search for balance. (Equilibre in French). It’s an improvisation, I start with a circle or a line or whatever and see where it takes me until everything feels right. I use my father’s old architectural rulers. Each person sees what suits them in the drawings, compared to their experience.
I’m also directly influenced by music, percussion setup, rebound and dance…
